- Bobbi Yoffee of Jacksonville and Judith Leitch of Lake Mary
each have a piece in the Visions of the Spirit II: Celebrating
the New Millennium exhibit at the Washington National Cathedral!
The Cathedral showcases the work of sixty-nine calligraphers from across
the United States, Japan and Canada in its second juried calligraphy
exhibition which runs through November 1. Judith’s piece is a handmade
book and clamshell box titled "ALONE". The piece is an accordian fold
format of 140# Arches watercolor paper measuring 8 3/4" x 38", with
a light acrylic wash background and lettering done in gouache. This
calligraphy project was inspired by an article Judith read describing
Admiral Richard Byrd's five month solitary stay on Antarctica. Bobbi’s
piece is titled ‘Jubilee 2000’ and is an 18" x 18" piece created with
pastels, gouache and Schmincke gold. Click here
to see Bobbi's piece.
