Bobbi Yoffee of Jacksonville had a piece in the Visions of the Spirit II: Celebrating the New Millennium exhibit at the Washington National Cathedral. The exhibition featured the original calligraphic works of 69 finalists from over 20 states, as well as the works of calligraphers and bookmakers from as far away as Japan and Canada. The exhibition pieces were displayed in the Cathedral's Rare Book Library Exhibit Room from June 28 through November 1, 1999. The Visions of the Spirit II exhibition is part of the Cathedral's millennial celebration, Jubilee 2000: Proclaiming God's Reconciling Love in a New Era. The judges for the Visions calligraphy exhibition were Mark Leithhauser, an artist and Chief of Design and Architectural Services at the National Gallery of Art, and Lou Stovall, an artist, art consultant and master printmaker of Workshop, Inc. in Washington D.C.

JUBILEE 2000

For it is a jubilee:
It shall be holy unto you;
You shall eat the increase thereof out of the field.
And you shall not wrong one another;
But you shall fear your God;
For I am the Lord your God.
If you do my statutes,
And keep my ordinances and do them;
And you shall dwell in the land in safety.

And you shall fallow the fiftieth year
And proclaim the land unto all the inhabitants.
It shall be a jubilee unto you
And you shall return every man
unto his possession
And you shall return every man unto his family.

Leviticus 25: 10 - 12; 17 & 18
